Sally Kindberg and rescued pictures

Recently there was a flood from the upstairs flat’s washing machine – the owner, looking for a lost cufflink apparently, opened the bottom of the machine which promptly filled my ceiling with water before pouring through a crack in it.  This meant a rescue operation. Sadly some artwork, papers and books was lost for ever.  There are still trips to the local charity shop etc to make some space while the room dries out, but I did rediscover some pictures I’d forgotten about  …These include a pirate flag (for Draw It! Pirates, published by Bloomsbury), some dinosaur bones (also for a Bloomsbury book) and some of my papercuts, slightly buckled by damp but survivors from several years ago, referencing islands I’ve visited on my travels.

One Response to Sally Kindberg and rescued pictures

  1. David Armstrong says:

Such a shame, Sally, to lose such treasure to say nothing of the trauma. ( Not the first time methinks?)
