Sally Kindberg visits a Yayoi Kusama takeover at Harrods (on a Tuesday)

I love polka dots!  Yesterday (a Tuesday btw) I headed for Harrods where images of artist Yayoi Kusama took over over some of the store, including outside and in the store windows, with the help of Louis Vuitton.  What fun!  An artist-as-brand event. Or artist as ican? The last time I was in Harrods was years ago, to buy a packet pf of vacuum cleaner bags, and then as now, the shop assistants were almost unnervingly good-looking, helpful and smiley.  The image above is a page detail from my first Draw It! interactive children’s book series (published by Bloomsbury).  I wore my polka dot socks, trying to blend in with the multi-dotted Kusama universe.  Resisted the cakes. And as far as I’m concerned, Tuesday is turquoise blue.
