A fabulous, witty and entertaining talk by the inimitable Alan Bennett at Primrose Hill Library. this afternoon. I hadn’t been able to get a ticket – they sold out so quickly – but one evening a couple of weeks ago got chatting a bit to Alan B and his partner who were sitting on a bench outside the library. Alan B then kindly drew this pass in my notebook, and it worked, despite some initial shenanigans at the door – I paid the entrance fee to support the library by the way. Lovely event! And I’ll treasure the notebook of course.
