A couple of weeks ago I returned to Falmouth, to walk (it’s a kind of meditation process for me), and to collect my Museum of Dust which has been on display and part of the Cabinet of Folklore and Magic on Falmouth High Street. I explored and swam, despite an earlier sewage leak warning on one of its beautiful beach near my b&b, and took ferries across to St Anthony in Roseland. See the map above, which I forgot I’d drawn years ago when illustrating the Independent newspaper’s Weekend Walks features. These picture maps led to my becoming a travel writer for a few years.
Whilst collecting my Museum S, the curator, took several copies of The Hand Book (of hopes and dreams) for his Cabinet shop, which led to my doing an impromptu book signing one morning at breakfast at my b&b.
