Big Draw at the Guardian 2015 – Sally Kindberg’s dinosaur hatching workshop at Kings Place

BD roar roarFantastic day at Kings Place running a workshop for this year’s Guardian Big Draw.  Many talented young participants hatched dinosaur eggs with inspiration and aplomb.  Thanks to Joanna Lawrence and John Henry Baker, two members of the brilliant Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment who improvised encouraging prehistoric hatching sounds. It was great to see grown-ups join in too, including Guardian cartoonist Martin Rowson who hatched a  Smuggosaurus aka an Osbourne, and cartoonist Ros Asquith who drew a Pigletosaurus.  Copies of my latest book Draw It! Dinosaurs were on hand, with medium and large sized eggs available.  Across the way Bridget Marzo with Tiz and Ott inspired magical train journeys, and children added their characters to Steven Appleby’s fantastic Theatre of Life.  Great stuff!hatch an egg
