Bowled over by the energy and inventiveness of children (and some adults!) taking part in the London Jewish Museum’s very first Big Draw event this morning. Visiting designer and lecturer Russell Walker drew visitors’ shoes, Naomi Games dropped by after giving a talk about her father Abram‘s exhibition upstairs, and children drew strange and wonderful composite pictures for my ‘Draw a funny family’ workshop. Aka ‘heads, bodies, legs’ etc. Fabulous creatures popped up on the wall – some children just wouldn’t stop drawing!
Afterwards I wandered upstairs to view the wonderful Abram Games exhibition. Enjoyed seeing his work and a re-creation of his studio workshop, complete with brushes, typwriter and a work smock made by his mother.
Looks like a great event!
