Travelled by tiny F50 propeller plane from City Airport in London to the Netherlands, a watery and welcoming land. Monsters & Co had already arrived at the American Book Centre in Amsterdam. We were joined on saturday afternoon by families who made brilliant comic strips, and invented more weird and wonderful monsters at my Draw It! workshop and book signing. Special organiser Shirley supplied delicious Dutch biscuits to keep up our creative energy, Amsterdam-based illustrator Rachelle Meyer visited us briefly, and a helpful parent pulled faces for us to draw.
