A Visit to Limehouse
Yesterday I left more copies of The Comic Strip History of Space at the Half Moon Theatre, where I’ll be joining other members of SCBWI to do some more live drawing at the theatre’s Winter Arts Fair. Afterwards I decided to … Continue reading
Notebooks/notes/drawings before Half Moon Theatre event
Made these drawings/notes before Half Moon Theatre events last week. Didn’t actually need them on the day, but always handy! A few of these items touched on in The Comic Strip History of Space, but I was very inspired by … Continue reading
My sketchbooks/notebooks for 2017 (so far)
Here are pages from my note/sketchbooks so far this year. They often act as nurseries for book and workshop projects/features/ideas, small aide memoires of places visited, things seen and heard. There are records of meetings and conversations too. … Continue reading
Visits to Chillingham Castle and Bamburgh Village Show
My last visit to stay with OH in her Bamburgh Castle apartment. I’ve been there several times before, to take part in a Sandcastle Competition, and to walk the Pilgrims Way to Lindisfarne amongst other things. This time my visit coincided with the annual … Continue reading
Sally Kindberg goes to Penzance
I decided to travel to Penzance for the weekend even though plans to run a Pirate workshop there had fallen through. It had been difficult week in London including a visit to hospital and a leak from the flat above me, … Continue reading

Walked round Copenhagen, climbed towers, and followed in the footsteps (except he rode his horse) of Peter the Great up the twisting cobbled ramp of the Round Tower, referred to by Hans Christian Andersen in his fairy tales. Then tea at … Continue reading

Discover the Mysterious Treasures of Swedenborg House
Swedenborg House in Bloomsbury, London is full of mysterious items relating to the life of eighteenth century Swedish polymath and visionary Emanuel Swedenborg. It’s an extraordinary place! My leporello of images and text will encourage children/families to visit and explore the … Continue reading

Sally Kindberg in Dorset
Lovely to see snowdrops en route to the wild Dorset coast, where stormy winds and rough seas battered the coast. Stayed again in the mermaid house before the owners move, and had a look round Linzi West‘s studio before that moves too.
